Watch "The Shinjuku Incident" this evening. Jackie Chan didn't use martial arts, not too bad overall. Wasted 2 weeks, a damn long period. Feel like lost touch in a lot of things. Hope everything remains the same, if not, become better.

I just realised that I can't run. Energy level is extremely low. It's really a big problem!

Sunday, April 05, 2009

It has been super long time since the last time I run. Been staying at home doing nothing...argh!! don't like the feeling. IPPT and adidas sundown marathon, real soon. I am getting worried.

3 weeks unable to come online, due to internet down at home. Finally after 3 weeks, internet is working again. It sucks without it.

Sometimes, not everything is on your way or the way you want it to be. It really saddens me when I had Chicken Pox a week ago. Seriously, if this happen a week or 2 weeks later, things will be so much better. I had miss the precious time, important moment with them.

Talking about Chicken Pox, a lot actually say they had it since young, I was wondering, when will my turn be. Even after what happened to Mark (OCT then) during BK, I thought I was consider lucky for escaping it. It struck me with Chicken Pox last week, the unexpected period of time.

Had 1 week of MC from the medical center. I extended it with 1 more week even though I hate to do it, as staying at home really boring, but no choice.

Really thanks for all wishes. Each of it really brightens my day. 10 more minutes to the end of today, hopefully this year will be a better year.

- Draw arm timing late due to fuck up timing given
- Lack of manpower, I had to do the preparation alone
- Water point stores left unattended
- Didn't ask them to keep
- Hidden by someone
- Whole world was questioning me
- World world know it's my fault (Including trainees!!)
- Feeling so fuck up
- ISAC card got lock

Fuck up Friday!!

Saturday, February 28, 2009

Just some memories from the last day of BMT. The performance of the drill squad in Pegasus Coy. We got champion then. =)
1/3 of the course is over. No mood for this course, feeling restless. Anyway, yesterday saw an email regarding the individual timing for 121st ARR result. I took 4.57 minutes to complete. It was the one of the slowest among those NSF. After seeing it, was rather depressing. I didn't expect to have such timing. The trial was 4.49, 8 seconds difference. It really saddens me.

Finally went for swimming this morning, but didn't last long. After that, went to SIM open house with Melvin, saw some familiar faces. We completed gathering the brochures within 20minutes? I can't decide which course to apply. The open house was kind of unexpected.

Meet zf n raymond for dinner at tampines. The last time we met was dunno how many months ago. Everyone was busy, after dinner all went home. Looking forward for the next meet-up. Same goes for the ASC meet-up too!! BMT meet-up will be better!!

Exactly a week ago I was still in Thailand, should be in bus now to the floating market. Went Thailand for 2 weeks. It is indeed a good experience. Enjoy there, just that the weather was quite hot in the day and cold at night. We went crocodile farm, floating market, future park etc. Bus journey was board, each trip to another destination was average 1 hr. Didn't really buy a lot of stuff in this trip, only some shirt and key chain.

Back to office, new course starting. Was feeling rather restless and no mood for anything. I feel that this week is a slow week as time passes quite slow. Anyway, life sucks.

Watched 'Love Matters', was rather disappointed, but still quite ok. Sundown marathon is near. OMG!~

Is my passion in rowing still exist? I am confused! I feel so lost.

Happy Lunar New (牛) Year.

Last year's CNY was bad. Had high fever. I love this festive season CNY as I know that lots of goodies and Bah Kwa awaiting me. Day 1 and 2 visited some relatives house, not as much as compared to few years back. Hong Bao amount should be quite standard too. Had a bit too much of the goodies, feeling quite dry in the throat. Perhaps I should be more discipline to water parade myself.

3 new colleague joining us next week, quite looking forward to work with them.

Cow year resolution? World peace, healthy, economy getting better, success in work and studies and also wealth.

Happy Birthday, Sis.

Saturday, January 10, 2009

Time flies! it's 10th of Jan again. Exactly 365 days ago, I was enlisted. Took the ferry in the morning with my parents, waiting to take the pledge etc. After that, had lunch. Can still remember my first meal in Tekong was yam rice with chinese sausage. After that, bid goodbye at 1330h and started to fall in according to our school and company. We then proceed to our company line to collect our SAF duffle bag and other items. After checking of items, we were split into platoon and bunks. I was struggling to carry my extremely heavy duffle bag to level 4. I make my way to my bed and started trying on the sizes of all the issued items. It seems that everything is okay expect for the jockey cap and sport shoe. We then fall in to proceed to the store room to exchange the items. At around 4, we proceed for our hair cut at the training shed. It was fast, within a minute and it's done. After that, proceed back to company line, do all the administrative stuff and interview. Soon, dinner time and it's 2130h. We were told to make a phone call home. After making the call, we proceed to bunk for admin time and 2230h, lights off. First night in bunk can't seems to sleep, perhaps can't really adapt in a change of environment for a start.

11 more months to ORD. haiz...

Thursday, January 01, 2009

It's the last day of the year 2008. Institute celebration at the camp's swimming pool. Had some water activities before lunch and book out after lunch. New year celebration this year will be at Wilson's place. We went to TPY to get the necessary items for the BBQ in the evening. We slack in his house while waiting evening to come. We started BBQing at 6pm, awaiting for the Taiwan countdown show at 7pm in Cable channel. After that, clearing up the place and watched TV in the living room while waiting for the new year to come. We then spend the night there.

Last year's one was great too, however, puke quite a lot and mess up the place. So, how's about next year? lol.

2008 seems to be a bad year, got lots of unhappy moments. New year resolution? Just to be better then 2008. ORD this year lor!!!

Course just ended, my first time taking a detachment. Not really satisfied with my performance.

All the best for the trainees in their new unit, kind of missing them when seeing the camp is rather empty. 2nd last day of their course something happened. He was hospitalised. However, he is fine now. I am feeling guilty.

Anyway, wish all a Happy New Year. Hopefully 2009 is a great year for me. Shall find time meet up old friends soon.

Merry Christmas!

It's just like any other day when I spend this special day at home doing nothing. Don't really look forward for any programme as I don't really celebrate Christmas through my entire life. NS life have come to the mid point, life not that bad, as compared to the rest. But having to do guard duty makes me feel sian, how I wish I have enough money to buy all the guard duty. Sometimes do feel irritated when people say " Slack right?" after hearing my unit. So what if my unit is slacker then yours? Going slack unit shows that I am somehow a bit luckier, that doesn't mean I do not want to work hard or remain slack.

"Going slack unit shows that I am somehow a bit luckier". Sometimes I think back, am I really that lucky? Or perhaps, I am the unluckiest among the lucky one. Feel that everything is not on my side most of the time. Life sucks. I used to believe that so as long you work hard, you will get what you want. Well, some people don't have to try hard and get something they want, whereas others may have to try damn hard in order to achieve it, or even worse, not able to get it at all. Sometimes was wondering, why not leave everything to fate, instead of working so hard. Well, life has to go on, no matter how good or bad is it, because life sucks.

Tuesday, December 23, 2008

Whole of December was busy with course. So much to do, so little time to rest. Today just came back from SumEx, quite tiring.

Went for blood donation 4 last Saturday at Douby Ghaut MRT station, the queue was long and we waited for quite sometime. Upon the records on their database system, my last donation was like 3 years ago! Didn't actually realise that I had miss blood donation drives for 3 years. This time was right hand artery, seems to be much faster then the left one on last donation.

Miss running sessions for like many many weeks. Will have to train up after this course, seriously.

Tomorrow's X'mas eve, no plans = stay at home. =X

Monday, December 01, 2008

For the month of November, courses running concurrently. Busy with courses, but the worst part has yet to come.

December lo! It's the month of festive season. Festive season = sales everywhere = spend lots of money = need to save money. Not looking forward for next week, got duty.

Jonathan came and collect the calculator. He mentioned about his life in his unit. It was quite negative. It seems like most people going unit had a hard time, just like some of my batchmates. It really reflect how lucky I am. However, life is never perfect.

Yesterday took part in the Cheveron bowling competition. Bowled quite badly, but I didn't expected to win anything, just go there for fun and eat only.

Hope December is a good month for everything. =)

Friday, October 31, 2008

We had our ASC meet up on 261008. Though it's kind of last minute decision, 9 of us manage to meet up for dinner at Billy Bombers @ Cineleisure. 9 of us namely Yong Biao, Melvin, Wilson, Yong Jun, Zhi Hao, Ho Yun, Grant, Jeremy and me. Dinner wasn't too bad, I ordered Fish and Chips and lemonade. After that, we went to Balcony @ Heeren for a drink. We chat and watched soccer till about slightly over 0000h, when we decide to have supper at Geylang. Steamboat as supper, but like not very nice and filling as portion quite little. After that, took cab home and reach home at around 0250h. Really happy to have this meet up, looking forward to have more, and hope more can attend next time.

This week only work on Wednesday, not much to update on office matters. Had diarrhoea for few days already, it sucks.

Today cohesion day, went bishan park for the event. Played 3 games, in the end, our team got 2nd place, tie with another team.

New course starting in 2 weeks' time.

Putting up the large poster of me =P

Just want the people on the street to know us

Weekend without plan is rather boring. It seems that I always lack the discipline to wake up early to go for morning jog. Slack the whole day at home watching TV, going online etc. River regatta falls on my guard duty day, meaning can't watch for the 1st day of the race. All the best to them.

Happy Birthday David!

Friday, October 24, 2008

This week is just like normal days, awaiting jobs to be assigned to us. So basically just WAIT. Cleared my guard duty for the month of October on Wednesday as Guard 2IC. It was a peaceful night. However, busy period really very busy. However, saw my guard duty forecast today for the month of November, oh shucks! This time will be Guard Com. It's gonna be very different from Guard 2IC and 3IC. I seriously need to ask around. Furthermore, it's a weekend duty, hope everything will be fine, anyway, it's like 1 month away.

Today have this happy hour thing after work. Basically just go there show face, eat as much as you can and chit chat then go home.

Long weekend ahead!!! Coming Monday Deepavali, Tuesday on leave. hoohoo!!

Nowadays got a lot of problem with those banks and financial thing, seriously I not sure what's going on. Can someone tell me?

Sunday, October 19, 2008

ATP this week, had IMT on Wednesday for half a day, followed by so-called practice shoot at the range on Thursday and actual test on Friday. Manage to get a pass.

This week still didn't manage to watch 'Guard Post'.

Weekend is still as boring, stay at home to rot.

This coming week, guard duty on Wednesday, haiz.

Saturday, October 11, 2008

POP le! 6th ASC Mortar (Towed) POP on Monday, 06102008. Last day mainly just to rehearse the simple certificate ceremony at the lecture room. Their posting of their unit remains the same, no change. After the ceremony, they had their last lunch in Khatib Camp block 18 cookhouse. After that, last stand by bunk followed by the first 4 leaving the camp, reporting to their unit. The remaining people waited for their transport at the level 2 lobby. I didn't manage to see them off. They left with their new colleague and man to their unit. Will miss them, though not much interaction. Wish them all the best in their unit.

Watched 'Painted Skin' on Monday after work. Just an average show. Tuesday eat Ding Tai Fung, xiao long bao not bad. Wednesday went taste of thailand, the food service is damn fast! The food is nice too! Thursday watched 'Eagle Eye', not too bad, just that a bit not realistic. Today had McDonald for dinner. This whole week is spending too much! However, still planning to watch 'Guard Post' next week.

Sunday, October 05, 2008

I got a feeling my decision is a wrong decision. I thought I was calm enough in making this decision, however...

Friday, October 03, 2008

TGIF! so? no plan = everyday the same.

This week kind of short as Hari Raya break is on Wednesday and Thursday only need to report in the afternoon. Basically after SumEx is only maintenance. Today help out in the IPPT in the morning, followed by reporting to office. Lunch time had kway chap, however, no appetite, so eat quite little. Meet Yan Lin and Kenryu in the cookhouse. They come here for a 2-day course. After that, went for hair cut in the camp salon. Well, my hair is really jialat jialat now.

Had laska for dinner, though they say it's not bad, but seriously I don't think it's nice. Gravy not thick, the cockle very raw. I just kept quiet when they ask for comment. Haven't been eating much this week and quite unhealthy too. Met Ting Yan on Tampines interchange, another guy with good life. 3 person whom I met today were from the same platoon in BMT. It reminds me of the good old days in BMT. We were recruits then, and now, 3SG already. Time flies.

3 more days to course closing. Mixed feelings.

Time isn't right. I hope my decision is right, as least for now.

Wednesday, October 01, 2008

SumEx is finally over!! The starting wasn't that good, subsequently was so-so. Raining during outfield sucks. My uniform and boots was wet almost throughout. Now having a bit of heat rash on my back. This course xiong?? hmm... not as xiong as I thought. Both got their xiong part. That old creature is getting out of hand, becoming more and more annoying, maybe he should just retired soon. This course ending in 6 days' time.

Selamat Hari Raya and Happy Children's Day! Today public holiday, but I was like rotting at home. Congrats to Irene for getting married last Thursday, was feeling sorry for not able to attend her wedding dinner. Saw the wedding pictures on friendster, very well taken and nice. All the best to her.

Haven't been running for months already, jialat jialat. Hopefully October will be a better month.

Saturday, September 27, 2008

It seems that I am missing the opportunity again today. It is not that I am not interested, just that the timing is not right, when I cannot commit fully. I think my passion is still there, but then it is not at the right time. I don't know if there is another chance, but I hope still have.

SunEx on Monday. This will be the scariest 20 plus hours for this month.

Friday, September 19, 2008

It is not that I don't cherish this opportunity, but then I just feel that I should recuperate first because of the upcoming important period. But if I don't go, is there any more chance? But I am really sick leh!!! f**k!

Sunday, September 07, 2008

Guard duty yesterday, just came back this morning, feeling quite tiring. First guard duty as a specialist, doing guard 3IC. But Saturday basically doing guard 2IC job.

Coming to week 4 of the mortar (towed) course, so far haven't really interact with the other trainees yet. More intense lesson coming up I suppose.

Feeling tired now, shall update more later.

Nice compose song 白旗 by 徐佳瑩, together with 北愛樂青少年兒童合唱團. I really hope when she cut her own album, can include this song as well.

Why are we having such expression? Is it related to the lady in green?

I was really looking at the menu, not the pictures!

12 and a half weeks has finally come to an end. Upon receiving the posting at the last day of SISPEC, lots of question came upon my head, as I had no idea what artillery is about. Day one, was meeting up with Melvin and Jonathan. Jonathan is late, so Melvin and I were waiting at the guardroom. We were one of the earliest there, as we saw a lot of stranger CPL carrying duffer bags and field pack in. Monkey-see-monkey-do, more and more people were standing beside us, don't waiting for what. Finally, one of the sgt asked us to proceed to the AI lobby. We get out camppass with a big 'TR' (which represents trainee). I tease Melvin with it as his initial is also 'TR'. We were then guide by one of the sgt (should be sgt YY) to level 6, where our bunk is. He then read out the list of names by bunk and bed level.

Being in bunk 5, I know nobody there. The first guy who interact with me was Kah Huei. There were only 7 person at that bunk, and I was sitting on bed 7. We rest a while before unpacking. Later, Kah huei n I realise we got the bed number mixed up, so we decided to shift the whole campboard instead of shifting all the stuff in the cupboard.

At 10 plus, we proceed to the lecture room. Here comes another guy who entered into the room with his duffer bag and field pack. I regconise him as he was one of my coy mate in SISPEC. He then explained the reason for being late. He was later allocated to my bunk.

As time goes by, my interaction with my bunkmate is increasing, where the bond is forming. Soon, it's the platoon bonding and even with towed course people.

At week 6, SAF commitment day start. Being the security personnel, we enforce the security.

"So what is your purpose here?"

"My purpose here is to deny any unauthorize personnel from entering the parade square within my sector of responsibility"

"Where is your sector of responsibility?"

"Allow me to orientate you to my map, on the left is the road leading to carpark C, followed by block 19 building where the swimming pool is, and on the right will be the warriors' hall. My sector of responsibility is the left side of the road leading to carpark C, to the right side of the road where the black signboard is, leading to carpark I."

My partner, Wen Bin, the sgt in charge and I makes up area Zulu. We started talking cock during rest time. However, our job really sucks when the actually day comes.

SAF day parade 08 security pass

After SAF day, towed side had their 2 weeks of 'xiong' period and soon POP. When they POP, we still have around 3 to 4 weeks left, and that's when our intensive training comes.

Training -> SumEx -> live firing->POP.

We had our POP yesterday. A simple award ceremony is held in one of the lecture room, with the presentation of some awards and certificates and presentation of rank. Congrats Guo Hong, Melvin and Ping Jim. We wear our velcro rank to lunch at the cookhouse, which is out last meal together as a course. Soon, area inspection and we bid goodbye. All the best people, meet up soon and keep in touch! =)

There are so much things to let it out, I just feel like letting it all out, however, whenever I wanted to do so, something just suppress me from doing it.

When he ask me if I am happy with it, I just could not give him a definite answer. There's just too much of the mixed feelings. I seriously think life sucks.

Saturday, August 09, 2008

The last phase of the course, live firing, has finally come to an end. Woke up at 2 plus in the morning and shoot all the way to 1 plus the next day, which is around 23 hrs. 080808 is not a good day for me. I feel kind of depress.

Today is national day. Singapore celebrate 43rd birthday this year. Slight rain just now, luckily it doesn't affect the show.

Last week to 3sg.

4 days to POP.

The hotate cream udon with cheese from Waraku . (just look at the size of the freaking bowl!!)

Kai Yong's 21st birthday celebration on his chalet

Hoohoo!!! Summary Exercise is over, meaning it's near to the end of the course.
This week:
Monday --> Remaining Lecture(s) to be covered
Tuesday --> MD test
Wednesday to Friday --> Summary Exercise!!! Quite tiring because not much of sleep, but however, not as bad as I thought. I think I make a lot of mistakes, but I think I got learn from it more or less.

Bunk 5 lunch gathering yesterday at Marina Square's Waraku Japanese Restaurant. 1st timer there, so took quite a while to decide what to eat. Finally, decide to try the hotate cream udon with cheese. Tasted not too bad, but a bit expensive. Just no idea why would they want to use such a huge basin-size bowl for serving. After eating, we just roam around marina square and sentec area. Saw some familiar faces at suntec. (around 6 of them!)

Watched "Money no enough 2" just now
. Before watching, saw some negative comment of this movie from the newspaper. After watching, I don't think it's as bad as they claim to be. As usual, Jack's movie has got a silmilar chacteristic. Almost all of his movies plays on audience's feelings. His movie are usually touching, educational and funny. Touching will usually base on the kinship between family. The show also voice out what problems do typical singaporeans' faced. Therefore I was kind of supportive of his movie all these while. He really know what singaporean wants to watch. For this, it is worth watching. =)

21 hours to book in.
10 days to POP.

Sunday, July 27, 2008

For the next coming 2 weeks, will be the most xiong week. Please don't rain AT ALL for this coming wed to fri.

Things that are yet to be done by this week:
1) Watch 'Dark Knight' (hopefully next weekend)
2) Buy essential things for field camp
3) Master all the knowledge needed for summary exercise. (Very impt!)

Wanted to pass out as Sgt soon.
Wanted to stay on at khatib camp even more.

14 days to National Day 2008.
20 hours to book in. (book out timing really very limited!)

Monday, July 21, 2008

Having read about the news of the famous monk who had appeared on TV before on the annual charity show. He was being charge for doctoring the account and other reasons. Didn't expect this will happen again after the NKF case, was really kind of disappointed with the system. After NKF case, it shows a fall in the number of people in donating money already, how about after Ren Ci's case? Hope that after all these cases, it will not affect people from donating money, as we know that there are still needy people out there who still need our help to support them.

"sHiNe fOr sInGaPoRe"
Hear it a few more times and you will love it. Looking forward to national day again, even though from now till 080808 will be a damn busy period. Prefer Joi Chua's version (Chinese Version), for I feel that she sings better.

12 days to "Money no enough 2"
21 days to NDP 08!
25 days more to POP!!

4 more hours to book in!! ARGH...

Saturday, July 19, 2008

Day by day passes and today is the end of week 9 as trainee in Khatib Camp. Towed side just finish their field camp, POP-ing in few days' time. For my side, 3 weeks left to POP.

This week learn more practical things, so far so good as it's kind of fun. Confident is gaining, hope this can maintain. Fail FD test, still got chance?

Have been going to the library these few weeks, borrowed some books which captures my attention. I guess I am more or less being influence by the people there. Reading books now is really a form of entertainment for me, when there isn't any MP3s allowed and TV as entertainment.

This week is a tiring week, however, more to come! Endure for 3 more weeks!

Saturday, July 12, 2008

This week lectures again. Learn about the vehicle, parts etc etc. Next week starting of the 'xiong' phrase. Test again on Monday, let me score well.

'Towed' side this week tough already, gonna be our turn soon.

Watched "It's A Boy Girl Thing" on Wednesday. It's really OMG!~ Samaire Armstrong is really beautiful!! I really enjoy the show, though the story is quite expected.

Listen to this year's NDP song, hmm..not too bad la, think listen a few more times will start to like it. Looking forward to national day, after that, POP!!

Saturday, July 05, 2008

Life hasn't been good these period. I hate the way it is. I just don't feel good. Feeling depress as time goes by. I am low morale test after test. Why is it that there are such bastards in this world? Good soul always die earlier than baddies. How true? I have been trying and trying, but to no avail. Am I not trying hard enough or is it my problem? I understand that winners don't quit, quitters don't win, but the process of losing is really bad.

Being I/C for this week, overall was alright, however, some small mistakes. Because of that, I can actually feel the depression coming. I just can't take it easy. I just feeling very tired right now...

Sunday, June 22, 2008

This week involved in the SAF commitment day. Some of the days we went to SAFTI for our duty. Saw Vincent there as one of the marching contingent. Next week will still be the same thing. Test on this coming Monday, hope to pass with flying colors. Another batch of BMT has just come to an end, congrats to those who are able to go to their desired posting. It has been quite some time since I saw my sgt in BMT, kind of miss them and wondering how's life for them. Do they still remember us?

Coming to July soon, more tougher days are coming. Eventually, hear only 2 to 3 out of 40 plus of us will stay back and become instructors, whereas others will be posted to unit. Hear life as an instructor is good, chances are slim, but will still hope to be one =D.

Have been missing rowing nowadays, perhaps race period is near. Sometimes will miss those good times.

Cleared my SOC, had made improvement, but still striving for better result next time.

In this camp, saw quite a number of people like primary , secondary and polytechnic friends. Quite unexpected to see them. Most of them actually are in OCS now. Sometimes will tend to envy them. You can actually see the different between an officer and a sgt. Both earn what they have, via different route and process. If I could turn back time, I would have definitely work harder towards what I want in every aspect of life.

Changed the blogskin, seems to be more comfortable with the color. Go Green!

C079 ex-classmates at Michelle's birthday chalet

Azfar and Wei Jie

Wei Jie and Shi Han

Attended this year's ceremony on 23rd May 2008. Apply 'off pass' to attend, luckily manage to do so. This year graduands of C079 include Azfar, Lai Hong, Yi Hui, Vivian and me. As for Jia Fuu, hmm..dunno when he wants to graduate.

Anyway, posted to new place. Shall be there for 13 weeks, should be ending at 13th Aug.

24th May, Michelle 21st birthday. Went for her birthday chalet with the rest of the ex-classmates such as azfar, kai yong, me, vivian, jasmine, amelia, hui xin, eugenia and lastly ji wu.
Went to e!hub after booking out on friday, we watch "missing" and bowl. Have not been bowling for some time already. Quite suck at it now.

Tomorrow will be week 5, so far nothing xiong, just that a lot of calculation part, which is damn stress. Test this thursday, hope can pass.

OCS had their commission parade yesterday, wish them all the best

June race soon, all the best for the team.

Saturday, May 24, 2008

Last week marks the end of the 47th BSLC with the 28km route march. I was feeling tiring after the 1st break, where we were continuing the 7km part. My leg muscle were feeling ache. Subsequently, the journey was getting tougher. I can remember there was one part which I couldn't walk straight, having my eyes struggling to open. Fatigue + route march done at night, it was really a very tiring process. 7 hours later, all the companies reached back the FUP to stand by for the POP. Everyone was tired. The parade ended with our PC putting on our Velcro rank. We then head for breakfast and area cleaning for the last time.

Posting were out. All were scattered around the whole SAF again with various number of vocations.

What Wong Wei Jie Means

You are very charming... dangerously so. You have the potential to break a lot of hearts.

Soon, it's the 4th month of the year. I spend the 4th of april this year in camp, as the next day I was doing my duty. Didn't really celebrate this year as I was really busy that week, leaving the free time to sleep at home. Life now very standard, everyday seems to be the same, wake up, training, sleep. The course is ending in 3 weeks time, meaning this 1 or 2 weeks will be tiring and boring. Well, suck it up!~ That's what we have to do when doing something we don't enjoy doing.

Also Happy Birthday to all those April babies.

Test and test and more test! So as long I can pass all, or maybe better than borderline pass, I am contented with it already. SOC, good timing please!

3 more weeks to the end of this course, please allow time pass faster!

We actually met each other in BMTC. My primary school classmate, which happens to be one of my coy's PL SGT.

Wei Jie and Wei Xiang, the famous 3401.

Some of the CSMs in Pegasus Platoon 3... CSM = Company Shortest Man

Posted to new unit, got to 're-know' new people there. Travelling from east to west sucks. Platoon 3 people were split all over. Still get to see most of them there, just that in different company. As for my Coy, only 3 are from Platoon 3 last time. Overall, my section-mate people are alright.

Derrick were telling me about John Titor, a time traveller. It says that he come from the year 2036, and blog his prediction on the future. Somehow, it came true though his description were vague. Shall read up more about him as it seems interesting. 7 weeks more...

Roti John (The history)

The foreigners would always ask him to fry up an onion omelette, which they would eat with a side order of bread. They ate so much of it, and so often, that Mr Shukor decided to create a ‘two-in-one’ dish for them. He added the bread as the eggs were cooking, and the result was a delicious omelette-topped slab of French bread, which he served with a special sweet-chilli sauce.

It went down well with the foreign clientele, and the locals and Mr Shukor needed a name for it. Since it had been created for the foreigners, it was named after them too. “In those days, we addressed all ang mohs as John! John! So my father named this dish Roti John.” explained Madam Norhayati, daughter of Mr Shukor who created roti John in the 1970s. And the rest, as they say, is history.

One of the all-time favorite food in Pegasus company. Ever since tasting the Roti John from the canteen in Tekong, I love it ever since.

Had my posting today, was kind of expected, so not much of surprise. People whom I expected to go OCS go, and there is also some unexpected cases. PTI, really hope to be able to make it and be a PTI, though chances are slim. Reporting on Monday morning, think gonna see most of them again.

Went to Giant Tampines just now, saw a man after paying his items, took lots of plastic bags and stuff them into his bag of grocery items. He look like an well-educated adult, wearing polo tee tucking in, looks like a successful man. But what he did really piss me off. How I wish I can take a picture of him and upload it to STOMP.

Happy Birthday Ze Feng, and belated birthday to Jasmine.

Last Sunday was a tiring day. We had our POP rehearsal since 8 plus in the morning, break for an hour, then resume back all the way till 5 plus. Drill squad was worst. We continue practicing for the performance all the way till 9pm. This time, music is added. We will have to choose a song, try out the counting at which part of the song etc. We were lucky enough to pick a song which is quite suitable, given the time we have. We proceed to try out while counting with the beat. Again, I think we are lucky to manage to have the overall rough idea within 2 to 3 hours.

In totally, only around 2 days of training with music. However, everything work seems quite well. I find that doing fancy drills with music is definitely much more enjoyable. That's the reason why others may think regard that music is part of their life. Imagine the whole world without any sound, how the world will become?

Platoon 3 soccer session at TP on Friday. The response was quite good. Around 14 came, given the fact that most of them live in the west, and compared to the first soccer session at NP(which I didn't attend), only 7 turned up. After that, went to princess to watch "Rule #1" with some of them. Overall the scary movie is quite alright, starring one of the 7 princess Fiona Xie. However, didn't really manage to catch the last part(last 5 mins) what it means.
*Those who watch already and get what it means please explain to me, thanks.

Went back alumni training today after 9 weeks of absence, feeling is a bit different.

My break is half way through already, sucks~

It's been a long time since I update this blog of mine. Every book out day is very precious, time is very limited, especially when you are booking out on Saturday afternoon, that leave with only around 30 hours of free time.

11 th march 2008, my POP day in Pulau Tekong after 9 weeks of BMT. Well, thinking back what I've done in this 9 weeks is really memorable. having the first 2 weeks as confinement week aka adjustment week. Time pass quite slowly in the first 2 weeks. Lots of laundry have to be wash and lots to settle. Then comes to the field camp, 6 days, I was having a sulking face almost everyday because it's boring. It was then we realised that the bunk is really a very comfortable place to stay in.

Having joined the Drill Squad, I was kind of excited initially, because we are representing our company to take part in the competition on week 8. Since the early stage on my BMT, selection was done based on our drills, I was quite elated to be 1 of the 30 recruits(main team) representing the coy. Training had also started soon after selection. Training really takes up a lot of our free time, which is when I started to complain and regret for this decision. Whenever someone says "Drill squad, fall in!", my section-mate will always know I don't like it.

Time passes and it's coming to the few days before the competition. Fancy drill is really interesting and fun, but no doubt it is also not easy to master them well. I was still blur with some of the drills by then, where stress and fatigue further makes me wanting to quit. Some of the sirs and commanders can also tell that I am one of those that always make mistake in the movement. Finally, I went to my Sgt in charge of the drill squad and told him that if he think I cannot make it, please don't hesitate to replace me with the reserve. He told me that he will observe and see how is it.

Here comes the actual day. After watching some of the other coy's performance, more stress is there. We form up at the parade square, upon hearing the command from our commander, we know we had to really focus 100% for that 10 to 15 minutes.

Everything is over, we know we had some mistakes here and there. I didn't really expect a lot so as long we are not last. Our CSM came to ask and say mostly likely a 2nd or 3rd in position out of 7 coys. I was happy and sad. "Really no chance of getting first?", I asked the guy beside me. We just went back to rest and await for the result.

"Drill squad heads out!"
Sgt announced the result to the whole of Pegasus. He pointed out only his index finger. I couldn't believe it! We actually get 1st! We are the champions! Laugher and cheering bring up the happy atmosphere.

Practice and practice till the day of POP. We will have to performance with music this time. Fortunately, we are able to find a right song to suit the fancy drills at such a short period of time. I think everything goes well with music, showing the importance of music in our life.

After POP, photo taking session among platoon 3. After this, we are all going to out own paths. Will definitely miss them, the commanders and the place, the bunks, the cook house, the parade square and the surrounding. Till we meet again.

Hopefully can post up some pictures soon.

Eve of CNY not feeling well, followed by few days of feverish temperature till I book in back, chiong the SIT test. Thankfully everything went on smoothly, though feeling quite tired. But didn't get to really enjoy CNY, no CNY goodies, no soft drinks, didn't visit a lot of relatives(which means lesser hong bao income).

This week was a tiring week. Went field camp, overall quite okay, but i don't like it. Luckily didn't rain.

Book out on Friday night with civilian clothes for the first time, feeling is good. Went chill with friends immediately.

Went watch "CJ7" just now, finally get to watch it, the show not too bad. Now looking forward to watch "Ah Long Pte Ltd", hopefully can watch it next week. Meet Wilson for dinner at Wood restaurant at Vivocity, where Terence is working. Ate claypot rice and shared a bottle of 1L ice water. It is known as FIJI water. The label states that FIJI water is from don't know from isolated island, cost $10 per bottle. It taste like the same as the normal ice water. Claypot rice is another killer, first time eating a 28 bucks claypot rice!

17 days more to POP. Looking forward to this 2 and a half weeks, faster clear all things and prepare for POP.

Command school or not?

Enlisted for nearly 1 month already, initially was a bit not use to it i guess. First 2 weeks confinement, everyone was like counting down everyday since around day 2 or day 3? 16 days confinement instead of others who only have 14 to 15 days, though is 1 day different, but then to us, 1 day is a lot. Book out usually have around 20 to 30 plus hours, so every minutes and seconds seems very precious.

Happy Chinese New Year to all chinese. May all have a prosperous year at the year of rat. For me, was having high fever at CNY eve, as high as 40 degree celsius. I was wondering if it's a good thing to fall sick at this time.

They always ask which unit we want to go, i have no idea yet. Now is almost have way through to POP. Just hope every thing goes on smoothly.

70 cents today.

4 more days to year 2008!

Festive season sucks without cash.

Saturday, December 22, 2007

Last Friday 20 cents, yesterday 10 cent. This month is like a month of money-picking month. Let's see if I can accumulate a dollar by the end of December.

Life is still the same, not been training these period of time. Just not motivated enough.

Some people are ambitious, so they aim for something and work hard to achieve it. So does working hard means that you will definitely achieve what you want?

Happy Birthday Irvin and Bo Han.

Apple Strudel

That day was complaining that I was broke, I managed to pick up 10 cents on the bus stop. Yesterday was 20 cents on the bus!! hahaha... so what's next? lol.

I was craving for apple strudel for damn long. The last time I had it was year 2003. That time my secondary school had moved to a new location, then 2 bus stops away there is this Renaldo's Apple Strudel shop. That was my first time tasting apple strudel. Great taste! Eat it with the crumps all over the table.haha!

4 years later, which was yesterday, I finally had another try of apple strudel. It was Ritz's Apple Strudel this time at Bugis. Of course I can't say which is better, the taste I had 4 years ago cannot remember already. Apple strudel is really nice. Other flavour such as durian, mango strawberry also available. Interested parties can jio me for apple strudel someday!! lol..

"Yes, yes y'all
we don't stop
Get creative, can do, rock on!

Yes, yes y'all
we don't stop
Get connected worldwide, rock on!"

Some negative comment regarding this MDA rap.Well, I think that it is a good one. They are really cool people and daring. Those are the senior management people, yet they are still willing to shoot this rap, I think that they deserve a round of applause already. Just imagine that you are now the senior management, are you willing to rap it? Do you even dare to do it? Rap is another language to connect to more people out there. I think it is working quite well.

They rocks~~~

historical landmark?

My first interaction with my washing machine...

First time washing my clothes using the washing machine. It seems 'new' to me through it has been there for few years already. 2 baskets of clothes are waiting for me to wash them, firstly put water, secondly, put detergent, lastly press here and there and let it wash by itself. hahaha... Well, washing clothes is not as hard as I thought. After washing, I do have a sense of satisfaction =D

Next, should be learning to cook.lol.

Rainy session now, no sun, no white cloud. Rain too much also sian. Just bring back some sunny days can?

Finally receive my enlistment notice stating where I will be going. Well, 1 month plus more to go. No mood to train up. Recently have been kind of broke, god is kind la, I manage to pick up 10 cent today.

2nd driving practical lesson, get to make the car move. Driving is fun.

Hong Yi told me the picture is a historical landmark, which has got to do with WW2, hmm...to me is just another old house, maybe by going in will have a better concept and image of the house.

Jia Fuu: Got girlfriend now?
Wei Jie: No
Jia Fuu: Why don't get one? TP so many...

To get a girlfriend got so easy de ah? lol!!!

So where were you at 0000h on 1st Dec 2007?

5 national dragonboaters who went to race in Cambodia and died there. I believe Singaporeans have been watching out for this news closely these few days. It also hit the headlines on the newspaper.

Seriously, it saddens me. Though I am not close with anyone of them, but somehow i just can't help feeling sad. Seeing familiar faces in kallang or race site, and now they are gone just like that. Seeing the newspaper reporting on the news these few days, showing their pictures on the newspaper, i just don't know what is the word to describe the feeling. It is really an unexpected incident. People just gone like that. I believe all of the dragonboaters out there may also feel sad. They are so near to the pontoon already, yet so far.

Life is unexpected. People whom you see most of the time may just gone like that. Cherish them well before it's too late.

Rest in peace, the 5 national rowers.

Final Theory Result

Shi Han and Aloy told me not to check your answers after you have attempt the questions on Final Theory Test, because usually the 1st answer that you give should be the more accurate one. Therefore, i heed their advice this time and try to do it just one time without checking again. I had completed all the 50 questions within 15 to 20 minutes, but I just heck care and press the 'End Test' button. The result came out. "Pass." I was happy but not to the extreme type, compared to the 1st attempt if I had pass, I would be even more happy. Just don't know why, perhaps I was tired at that moment. Well, starting practical lesson soon. Wish me good luck =)

Happy Deepavali...

This reminds me of a secondary school friend. Her name is Deepali. When ask why or how she got the name, if not wrong, she say she was born 1 day before Deepavali. If I was born 1 day before Hari Raya or Chinese New Year, what will be the best name to be called?

TPDB team A 2007

Like what I said earlier on, life is unexpected.

Unexpected situation started 3 days before regatta, when I was transferred from boat B to boat A, because one of them is sick. Training for this race is quite alright, especially the last week before race. I think it goes the same for most of the team. Using lighter boat this year, so different experience.

Day one of race is the heats of opens and tertiary category. We started our day with the opens heats, and both of our teams managed to get into semi-finals. However, tertiary didn't manage to get in to finals.

Day two of race, team A's semi heats was a very tough one. Nevertheless, we managed to get into the grand finals. Long hours of waiting for the last event, it's the most important race, event 60, the grand final. I believe this event is the most exciting one. Lane 1 NP, Lane 2 RP, Lane 3 NUS, Lane 4 TP, Lane 5 NP alumni, 5 boats were getting ready for this important moment. Slowly, all boats were getting in lane, coxswain holding the rope and rowers staying focus. Drummer were trying to get the boat into the starting line, it was a moment of silence by then. "Are you ready?", shouted the official with his loud hailer. "Attention..", paddles were already up to paddle as hard as possible for the first stroke, heart rate was pounding faster then usual. *air horn*. Race has started, all the boats were trying their best to row and surge the boat as fast as possible to reach for the ending point. The boat pass by one point to another, our mind still focusing what we need to do. Everything was fine and steady, and now towards the ending point, a last charge was given, we row with all our strength, no reserve. The boat cross the ending point, with 4 other boats also crossing the point almost at the same time. It was a close fight. We went back to the pontoon and get back to the shore while waiting anxiously for the results to be announced. Result shows that TP gets 4th. Ya, we didn't win any medal. However, this was one of the best set we row. We have no regrets already. Most of them agree that it was one of out best set, so though it's just within milliseconds away from the medal, we were still feel a sense of achievement at that moment, as getting into grand final in opens category is one of our objective being met. We are not there yet. I believe TP will continue to soar even greater heights in future, same goes with the girls team. We did it before, we know we can do it again.

TP ARE YOU READY?

I had a dream few days ago. How I wish it was a real thing happening to me. When I woke up, I think I still had the smile on my face. But when come to reality, it's not real after all. Well, at least I am happy for that moment. Will dream ever comes true?

Seeing friends, secondary school friends driving, suddenly feel that they have grown up a lot. Perhaps the 'seh' is in them, makes them look very adult. I have been dragging it, now then want to start to chiong. FTT next week, hope to pass it for the 1st attempt so that I can really chiong it before going NS.

After training, went to buy 2 birthday presents for Connie and Siew Hoon respectively. After which, meet up Terence and headed to Pasir Ris costa sand chalet. We went to Siew Hoon's first at about 6.45pm to put down my belongings, awhile later, went to Connie's chalet which is few blocks away. We headed back to the first chalet again, and this time, more people such as Chu Li, Bing Wen arrived. We enjoyed the food and talk about what we have been doing recently. This kind of bring me back to our secondary school memories, when we all first met in Secondary one. Most of us were classmates during Secondary one. Reminiscing what we did last time, it's indeed memorable. Yet today, I am attending 2 of my schoolmates' 21st birthday celebration.

At 8pm, Wilson have reached Connie's chalet. Terence and I thus went over. I had my second round of food there. While waiting for cutting of cakes(which both are cutting at 9pm), we chatted to kill time. At 9pm, after some photo taking and cake cutting session, we had out serving of cake and rush over to Siew Hoon's chalet for her cake cutting session. Luckily we made it in time. After that, headed home with Bing Wen.

Today was a tiring day.

No one is perfect in this world, so what rights do we have to condemn others?
